Bruce Wear, MD, Chairman

Since 1986 Bruce has worked as a physician and held various leadership roles; most recently as chairman of his medical group and head of the information technology team.

Bruce joined the board of Global Teams in 2012 and was appointed chairman of the board in April 2019. Prior to his involvement with GT, he served as chairman of the board of another mission organization.

Bruce has had a long passion for cross-cultural ministry dating back to college days when he attended the Urbana Student Missions Conference. Together with his Chinese wife, they have ministered among international students throughout the years. In addition, Bruce has served as chair of his church’s cross-cultural team and made diverse short-term mission trips to various regions of the world.
