The Makua are a large Bantu people but with many different tribes. Many Makua have also been driven south in Mozambique because of violence in Cabo Delgado, making them more accessible to GT field partners. This disruption has made the Makua more open, but they are often on the move having to relocate often, making it difficult to maintain contact.
Prayer Request:
Pray that our leaders would be marked by peace in a turbulent situation. The violence in Mozambique has created opportunity to reach Muslim Makua but they have pressing needs: food, shelter, safety and medical care. Pray for churches to give resources. Pray for strength for our field partners as they share their meager resources. There are so many needs. Pray for the Holy Spirit’s leading to those who are spiritually seeking.
