Our partner among the Ik teaches at a local primary school. He continues to look for People of Peace. Since he was trained by Wycliffe, our partner wanted to begin translating the scriptures.  To his dismay, he found that others had tried and failed because of disagreements among members of the Ik community about who should represent them. He realizeed if he forged ahead, no one would read the Scriptures.  He is asking God to make him a peace maker in the community and to direct him to people of peace with whom we can build rapport.

Prayer Request:

Pray for relationships that foster spiritual growth, both among the few young believers and non-believers on the Ik ridge.

Peace and cooperation among those desiring to spread the gospel and do translation work.

Personal spiritual growth in this new cross-cultural environment.
