I have been called by God to work in western Kenya in my
senior years. I have been coming to Rondo Retreat Centre in the Kakamega
rainforest for the years beginning in 1993 up until now and hope to continue
as long as God allows.
I feel like I work in the Garden of God it is such a beautiful place. We
have guests who come here from all denominations and all countries. God
renews their spirits and I try to help see that it all runs smoothly and in
His rhythm. Our staff consists mainly of men from the area where we are. We
do have two ladies in our laundry.
We have a Bible study daily for the staff and they have become like a
second family to me. I am called Mama Reenie. In addition to my work here at
Rondo I help needy children go to school. I have helped over 36 so far and
have 26 right now; about half of these are full orphans. I am here 5 months
of the year and in the U.S. the other 7 months. |
