Global Teams’ Advanced Training

Designed to be done either as residential training, online, or done in the field through guided “in service” training Catalyst offers effective and creative training for missionaries.

The purpose of Catalyst is to equip Global Teams Pioneer Missionaries, Mobilization Missionaries, and Member Care Missionaries with the knowledge, skill, and character needed to fulfill their ministries.

Pioneer Missionaries learn to initiate and nurture people movements, especially among the remaining blocks of unreached people groups (Muslim, Hindu, Buddhist, Sikh, Animist/Tribal, etc).

Mobilization Missionaries learn to initiate and nurture new mission sending movements.

Member Care Missionaries learn to care for cross-cultural missionaries and missionary families and mentor others to do the same.

Specific Outcomes of Global Teams’ Catalyst Training include:

1. Develop a personal ministry philosophy and vision statement by working through an in-depth study of Luke and Acts in the New Testament, along with other related biblical material and secondary sources.
2. Outline a “developmental path” for establishing believers and leaders which encompasses the entire process of disciple making from base-line evangelism to the reproduction of apostolic leadership and new missionaries within the context of the emerging communities.
3. Outline a plan for the development of transferable, “dynamic equivalent” scripture translations, training materials, and other resources (written, video, audio, or memorized) for each “stage” of the developmental path.
4. Outline a plan for the process of helping the future movement become and remain self-supporting.
5. Outline a biblical member care philosophy and plan for developing solid member care practices.
