Africa
Global Teams has thirteen missionaries in five African countries: Kenya, Madagascar,
Malawi, Rwanda, and Uganda. Most serve in multiple capacities but their primary
ministries/platforms include:
- Literacy and Evangelism
- Theological Education
- Women's Ministries
- Orphanage Administration
- Program Coordination for Diocese
- Pastoral Ministry
- Research for Pioneer Movements
In addition to missionaries serving in Africa, we have others serving in America,
focused on Africa including
- Mobilizer for the Persecuted Church of Sudan
- A couple in the process of the developing of their ministry service plan for Sudan
- Mobilizers for Malawi and Africa.
All our missionaries sent under the umbrella of Global Teams have a passion to
reach the unreached. Regardless of their platform, through their relationships they will
be planting seeds of reaching all nations with the Good News and creating a vision for
Africa's part in that endeavor.
Through their service they are either directly or indirectly
- Teaching the Great Commission in their relationships
- Seeking to find those who are called to be cross-cultural missionaries
- Networking with Africans to equip and enable them to live out their call.
Kenya
Diocese Maseno West Missionary sending partnership
- Providing in-depth training for hosting a Horizons Conference (this is a missions
training event).
- Recruiting and training people to develop local missionary sending capabilities and
provide for needed cross-cultural training.
- Joint venture between the Diocese of Maseno West and Diocese of Kitale for collaborative
mission work among the Turkana of northwest Kenya
Mission training events for the Diocese of Maseno North and the Diocese of Kitale
Rwanda
Implementation of a training event for Emerging Youth Leaders. Training will include
deeper grounding in the faith, mission awareness and leadership building. This initiative
will also include Youth leaders from America and Kenya to be able to train others in these
leadership skills.
Sudan
Mentoring and training of a Sudanese Mobilization Coordinator. Development of
Global Teams Ministry
plan for the Sudan
Uganda
Recruiting of a Uganda Mobilization Coordinator Development of missionary recruitment
strategy with Uganda Christian University
Malawi
Development of a training school for evangelists and missionaries
Tanzania
Networking with a Christian Formation Center to provide theological training material and
mission training materials
Madagascar
Administration of an orphanage and further development of a center which
ministers to children, street youth and needy handicapped
Kenya
The study of the Muslim Use of Irizi Charms in Mombasa, Kenya, and their Implication for
Christian Mission
Malawi
Development of a strategy to reach the Yao, an unreached people group
Sudan
Development of a strategy to reach several people groups
Madagascar
Work among the animistic-Muslim Antankarana in northern Madagascar.
- Mentoring and coaching with current missionaries in Africa in the development of
personal and team ministry plans
- Recruiting and training of Mobilization Coordinators
- Recruiting Companion Diocese and churches for specific initiative to the unreached,
region or ministry initiative.
- Networking of resources (time, talent and treasures) to meet needs of host and sending
countries
